Freedom writers is a movie that was based on a true story that happened in Long Beach which is where I was bored. This movie is about students who lived in a poor neighborhood where gang violence was okay and joining a gang was the only way for safety. This movie is about a teacher who actually saw that they had a chance to graduate and go off to college but she had to go through lots of obstacles to gain their trust and to get them on board that school is important. Not only did she had hardships with these students but also had obstacles with teachers who didn’t support her because they didn’t see the potential in the students like she did. It also talks about what these students have to go through to get through life. If you are into drama this is a good movie to watch not only is it drama but this is based on a true story.
